For the purposes of this policy, “personal relationship” means dating, engaging in an intimate or sexual relationship, sharing the same household or living together. Personal relationships between employees may create an actual or perceived conflict of interest. Personal relationships between supervisors and their subordinates are especially problematic and are prohibited by the Company.
Nxtbook Media reserves the right in its discretion to re-assign or terminate the employment of employees involved in a personal relationship in order to avoid a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest, to avoid favoritism or the appearance of favoritism, and to decrease the likelihood of sexual harassment in the workplace. See the Anti-Harassment Policy.
Situations in which employees are involved in a personal relationship will be addressed at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the need to maintain a fair and harassment-free work environment.
