Employees may hold outside jobs as long as they meet the performance standards of their job with Nxtbook Media. All employees will be judged by the same performance standards and will be subject to Nxtbook Media scheduling demands and attendance policies and expectations, regardless of any existing outside work requirements.
Employees who accept additional jobs outside of Nxtbook Media are required to notify Human Resources prior to commencing subsequent employment. If Nxtbook Media determines that an employee’s outside work interferes with performance or the ability to meet the requirements of Nxtbook Media as they are modified from time to time, the employee may be asked to terminate the outside employment if he or she wishes to remain with Nxtbook Media.
Outside employment that constitutes a conflict of interest is prohibited. Employees may not receive any income or material gain from individuals, including corporate entities, outside Nxtbook Media for materials produced or services rendered while performing their jobs for Nxtbook Media. Employees may not work for, or receive any income or material gain from, any individual or business that provides goods or services similar to those provided by Nxtbook Media or that otherwise competes, directly or indirectly, with Nxtbook Media.
