Nxtbook Media considers working remotely to be a viable alternative work alternative and will become standard as part of our Hybrid Work Arrangement being implemented in 2022.
We will be phasing into a hybrid workweek schedule beginning in 2022. All Employees will work in the office during normal business hours (based on your designated start time pre-Covid) based on the following schedule:
Requests to work from home on days where everyone is scheduled to work in the office will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If possible, activities that would require you to work from home on one of those days should be planned for a remote work day.
It is expected that any employee who works from home will devote their full time and attention to their regular job responsibilities and that productivity / effectiveness will not be negatively impacted. Working from home is not designated as a substitute for child, elder, or other dependent care, and if you have caretaking responsibilities you must make appropriate arrangements for your dependents to be supervised away from the work area during work hours. To maintain appropriate productivity and performance, remote employees should choose a work environment that is free from distractions, has a reliable internet connection, and supports the employee’s ability to dedicate their full attention to their job duties during work hours.
It is expected that you will establish a safe and appropriate work environment for remote work purposes, which includes implementing good information security practices at your remote work location and ensuring the protection of proprietary company and customer information accessible from your remote work location in accordance with the company’s policies. Work related files and credentials should be maintained securely and electronic files should only be accessed, saved, and transferred securely using the Nxtbook Media VPN
Employees working remotely must be reachable by telephone (Intulse softphone and/or mobile), e-mail, and/or Slack during agreed upon work hours. Individuals must be able to make and receive telephone calls, access email and Slack, and be easily accessible to co-workers and clients. You will be active on Slack and notify your team when you need to step away for any extended period of time. You will install and use the Desktop Slack app on your laptop to regularly receive notifications. Any remote work location must have a secure high-speed internet connection adequate to support the technological requirements of the job, including video conferencing. For remote Zoom meetings, the default should be “cameras on” for all meetings.
All of your obligations and responsibilities, and terms and conditions of employment, with the company remain unchanged. Nxtbook Media has the right to cancel or suspend employee remote work privileges at any time if it deems necessary.
