Nxtbook Media is committed to providing a work environment that is free from discrimination and unlawful harassment. Actions, words, jokes, or comments based on an individual’s sex, race, ethnicity, age, religion or any other legally protected characteristic will not be tolerated and are expressly prohibited. Unwelcome sexual advances; requests for sexual favors; and all other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or otherwise offensive nature (both overt and subtle) are forms of employee misconduct which are demeaning to other persons, undermine the integrity of the employment relationship, and are strictly prohibited.
To promote and maintain a harassment-free work environment, Nxtbook Media strongly discourages intimate personal relationships between employees, including those that involve dating, engaging in a sexual relationship, sharing the same household or living together. Intimate personal relationships between supervisors and subordinates are prohibited.
To avoid claims of indirect harassment, the Company in its discretion reserves the right to re-assign or terminate employees engaged in personal relationships. See the Personal Relationships Between Employees policy.
Should you wish to report an incident of sexual or other unlawful harassment, you should promptly report the matter to Human Resources, the owners, or your immediate supervisor, who will undertake a prompt investigation and take appropriate action. You may be assured that you can raise concerns and make reports of harassment without fear of reprisal or retaliation and that your complaint will be kept confidential to the maximum extent possible.
Each member of management is responsible for creating an atmosphere free from discrimination and harassment. Anyone who becomes aware of possible sexual or other unlawful harassment should promptly advise Human Resources, the Company Owners, or their supervisor, who will conduct an immediate investigation into all allegations and handle the matter in a timely and confidential manner.
Anyone engaging in sexual or other forms of unlawful harassment or retaliation, or anyone making false allegations of harassment, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge.
