Meet the NFPGA Section Champion and Women's Section Champion, Sandra Changkija, PGA from Lake Nona Golf & Country Club! Sandra shoots 66-67-65 for an 18-under par total at Streamsong Golf Resort Red to take home the trophies. The victory marks her third Section Championship win, as she previously won in back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023. She finished the event strong, with a third round that included going bogey-free and carding seven birdies. Joining Sandra in the final group and chasing for the title was Paul Ferrier, PGA from Hunter’s Green Country Club and Rod Perry, PGA from Crane Lakes Golf & Country Club. Both players did all that they could to push towards the lead on a course tucked away in the sand dunes of Central Florida. Paul shot a final round 4-under 68, finishing at 14-under par, and Rod carded a final round 6-under 66, finishing at 13-under par.
Reflecting on her victory, Changkija said, “I’m thrilled to have won another Section Championship! Thank you to Streamsong for rolling out the red carpet for us PGA pros!”

On Saturday, August 9th, the Squeeze Course at the beautiful Cabot Citrus Farms played host to the North Florida PGA Jr. League Sectional Championships. Against the backdrop of one of the best resorts in the Section, the junior golfers on each team showcased their talent and teamwork each and every hole.
After a day of Match play competition, two teams claimed Sectional titles. The Marriott Team became the 17U Champion and the Hammock Beach team was the 13U Champion. Both teams earned the opportunity to represent North Florida at the Regional Qualifier, September 19th – 21st at Sunkist Country Club in Biloxi, Mississippi.
In addition to our Sectional Champions, three more teams advanced to Regionals through Play Days by the Regional Leaderboard. Congratulations to our 13U teams, Marriott, Meadows, and ACE Golf, on earning their spots!
This year’s Sectional Championship highlighted the dedication and skill of all participants while showing the continued growth of PGA Jr. League across North Florida. Best of luck to all our advancing teams in Biloxi!
