Monday got started with a shotgun for all players. Ben Wood started off strong with a bogey-free round and six birdies to land at the top of the leaderboard after the first round, firing a 6-under-par 66. Cam Page, Carter Goodwin, and Bryant Raynowska were all just two strokes behind, finishing the first round 4-under-par 68. Dominic Diaz rounded out the top five at 3-under-par 69.
The second round began with clear skies but saw a rain delay as afternoon summer storms moved into the area. Page jumped to the top of the leaderboard with an impressive 7-under-par 65 with eight birdies.
