Giannetto received an exemption into this year’s John Deere Classic following his victory at the 2024 Iowa PGA Professional Section Championship at Wakonda Club.The Iowa PGA Junior’s defeated the Gateway PGA Junior’s 24 points to 7 points in the Cobra Puma Junior Cup Matches at Oakwood Country Club. This marks four wins for the Iowa PGA Junior’s. Back in 2017 Iowa PGA and Gateway PGA tied. Fantastic work by both the Iowa PGA Juniors and Gateway PGA Juniors for battling the past two-days. Congratulations to the Iowa PGA Juniors!Darin Fisher of William Penn University won the Iowa PGA Professional Championship on July 14-15, 2025 at Echo Valley Country Club. Fisher will be joined by Jeff Schmid, Sean McCarty and Jay Giannetto at the 59th PGA Professional Championship, April 26-29, 2026 to be held at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon. The alternates in order are Dillon Baker, Ben Montgomery and Davis Sutton.The Iowa PGA will be holding our Fall Meetings, Awards Luncheon and the Merchandise Show on October 20-21, 2025. There will be education, a merchandise show and our Fall Meeting. The Awards Luncheon will pay tribute to our Iowa PGA Section Award Winners along with the Iowa PGA Junior Tour Players of the Year.-Stephanie Mason
