- PGA REACH Tri-State Birdie Bash
- Date: April 6-24, 2026
- Locations: Wildwood GC, Valley Brook CC, & Sewickley Heights GC
Hello friends,
The annual PGA of America REACH Foundation Tri-State Birdie Bash wrapped up on April 24th. This year's Masters-themed event featured a record 23 teams of 46 TSPGA professionals, a record 982 birdies and a record amount of money raised, just shy of $120,000 for the Pediatric Cancer Survivorship Program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the TSPGA Veterans Golf and Youth Golf programs through the PGA of America REACH Foundation Tri-State.
The main event on April 6th included 19 teams of two circling the track at Wildwood Golf Club, a feature on WTAE-TV Pittsburgh News, gifts from the UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation, Pittsburgh, delivered by Clay Rehm (Development Coordinator, Community Fundraising), lunch and special delivery of ice cream bars to the players.
But wait, there's more! The Valley Brook Country Club and Sewickley Heights Golf Club teams bashed birdies on their home courses in the weeks following the event to honor their commitment to raise funds for this important and impactful event. We thank Valley Brook CC head golf professional Mike Papson and Sewickley Heights GC head professional Steve Hopley for taking the initiative to participate during the campaign window.
Thank you to Head Golf Professional David Yokitis and his staff at Wildwood Golf Club. The course was in great condition, and DY, along with his assistants, Brent Rodgers, Justin Scharphorn and Tanner Wild, teamed up to raise money fr this great event.
- Holderness & Bourne Greenbrier Classic Pro-Am
- Date: April 20-21, 2026
- Location: The Greenbrier, WV
History and golf were on full display at the Holderness & Bourne Greenbrier Classic Pro-Am. Congratulations to our 2026 Pro-Am Team Champions, led by professional Eddie Perrino of Connoquenessing Country Club, and to the Low Professional Lucas Cromeenes of Pete Dye Golf Club.
The annual tournament at The Greenbrier, America's Resort since 1778, presented the largest field of 44 teams (220 players) competing on The Old White and The Meadows courses. The weather created a challenge, with a mix of morning frost, high winds, and a cold chill wreaking havoc in round 1. The final Tuesday round brought calmer weather and beautiful sunshine through the mountainous, picturesque landscape.
Thank you to our presenting partner, Holderness & Bourne (Ethan Whitney), and supporting partners: E-Z-GO (Mitchell Hodges, Tanner Ticknor, Tim Zimmerman), Dick's Sporting Goods (Ed Stack), and Hole-in-One Partner, Links Brewing Company (Jeff Becker & Kylie Shevchik).
A special thank you to all the outstanding hotel and golf staff at The Greenbrier for providing a 5-star experience every year. (Hill Herrick, PGA, Tommy Minturn, Jake Fullerton, PGA and Lindsey Richmond).
