The Tennessee PGA Section officially swung into the 2026 season this month, debuting with two standout events: the Ladd’s Pro-Pro-Pro Scramble at Old Fort Golf Club and The Classic at the historic Colonial Country Club.
The season began in Murfreesboro at Old Fort Golf Club with the Ladd’s Pro-Pro-Pro Scramble. This three person event is a favorite among Section professionals, offering a perfect blend of high level shot-making and camaraderie to shake off the winter rust.
The leaderboard was crowded, but Allen Fennell, PGA, Greg Wyatt, PGA, and Mark Houser, PGA separated themselves from the pack. The trio carded a blistering 15-under-par to secure the title and a great start to the competitive season.

The Classic
Following the scramble, the Section moved to Cordova, TN for The Classic at Colonial Country Club. This 36-hole stroke play tournament provided a stern test for our PGA Professionals and top local amateurs.The Classic is another prestigious tournament the Tennessee Section PGA hosted to officially break into the tournament season.
Day 1 of The Classic saw a remarkable display of skill across the field. From the first tee, the atmosphere was charged with momentum; players found their rhythm early, setting a high standard and leaving little margin for error.
Day 2 transformed into the perfect test with a tight leaderboard to go into the day. It was a day defined by grit and skill, where the eventual champions were separated from the pack by their ability to navigate the shifting field.
