Mount Vernon Country Club Head Golf Professional, Taylor Babcock, PGA, LPGA, reflects on qualifying for her first PGA Professional Championship at the Middle Atlantic PGA Section Championship and the unforgettable support she received from the membership at her club.
After earning her spot on the national stage, Taylor’s club members rallied behind her, celebrating her accomplishment, and surprising her by covering her travel and tournament expenses.
Taylor shares what the experience has meant to her, how her club supported her journey, and why this milestone is one she will never forget.
The MAPGA hosted the PGA District 10 Meeting in mid-April in Washington, D.C. and at Congressional CC. After the meetings, the delegates from the Carolinas, Kentucky, Middle Atlantic, and Tennessee Sections enjoyed an evening tour of the DC monuments. We enjoyed great camaraderie and great discussions along the way.
