The first of four majors in the 2026 season, the 7th Annual Southwest PGA Spring Masters Championship, will be held May 19-20 at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Ariz. Defending champion Charlie Beljan, PGA Teaching Professional from Torreon Golf Club, captured last year’s 36-hole title with a score of 134 (-10), finishing three strokes ahead of runner-up Erik Matthewson of Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. PING’s Marty Jertson placed third at 139 (-5). The win marked Beljan’s first victory in the Southwest PGA.

The first PING Player and Senior Series event of the season is set for May 11 at the renowned Estancia Club in Scottsdale, with more than 160 Southwest PGA Professionals competing in an 18-hole stroke play format. The PING Player and Senior Series consists of four one-day, 18-hole individual stroke play events, with Player of the Year points awarded at each stop. A Player Series Champion will be crowned following the final event. The remaining 2026 schedule includes Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale (June 22), Alta Mesa Golf Club in Mesa (June 25), and TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale (July 27).
May wraps up with two sold-out events: the Southwest PGA Pro-Pro Championship on May 27 at Talking Stick Golf Course in Scottsdale followed by the two-day Southwest PGA Pro-Am on May 31 & June 1 at Las Vegas Country Club. The popular Pro-Pro at Talking Stick features teams of two Southwest PGA professionals competing across three scoring formats: holes 1–6 use better ball, holes 7–12 are played as a scramble, and holes 13–18 follow a select drive better ball format. The Pro-Am in Las Vegas is the third of seven Pro-Ams in 2026. All the Pro-Ams, which traditionally sell out, pair one Southwest PGA Professional with three amateurs. Teams compete using a combined one better ball (gross) and one better ball (net) format on each hole to determine the overall team score.
