Lucy Cui of Honolulu, Hawaii won the Girls 12-13 division at the 2026 Drive, Chip and Putt held at the Augusta National Golf Club. Lucy sank both of her putts on her way to claiming the overall champion.
In addition to Lucy, Hawaii was represented by three other juniors. They included:
Mie Funakoshi of Kailua-Kona, Girls 10-11
Charlie Bourne of Waikoloa,
Boys 12-13
Shane Murphy of Koloa,
Boys 14-15
All qualifiers had a memorable time at the Augusta National Golf Club having competed on the Sunday of Masters week.
Mahalo to the Augusta National Golf Club, the PGA of America and the USGA for their sponsorship of this event. We must never forget to give thanks to the many volunteers who assisted at the local, sub regionals and regional qualifiers.
The team of Tagiralani Luafalealo and Colby Gunderson captured the 2026 Assistants 4-Ball Invitational held at the Honolulu Country Club. The duo shot rounds of 63-69-132 to claim the first place prize of $1,200. Coming in the runner up spot with a total of 133 was the team of Kevin Shimomura and Tyler Ota.
Mahalo to Honolulu Country Club for hosting the event. A special Mahalo to Les Tamashiro for hosting the welcome dinner. This mandatory dinner was designed to assist the participants on their journey towards membership.
