HATTIESBURG, MS – APRIL 20, 2026: Joseph Dendy & Ernie Rogers, PGA successfully defended their Stableford Four-Ball Championship from 2025 with a resounding victory at Canebrake Country Club in this year's edition of the championship. Dendy & Rogers of Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Raymond, MS, also spend time as coaches, which makes them a natural pairing in this team competition.
Dendy, who coaches at Belhaven University, and Rogers, who spends time with the Hinds Community College team, had no shortage of fireworks on the course. The duo made 5 birdies and an eagle on the front nine, scoring a field high 15 stableford points on the 9-hole stretch. Combined with 4 birdies and 8 stableford points on the back nine. Dendy & Rogers ended up with 23 points, 4 higher than the 2nd place team, Ramey & Sonnier, who won the previous GSPGA team event in Houma earlier this year.
Dendy claimed the title of Low PGA Professional with an impressive 63, 8-under par. Followed by Greg Sonnier, PGA, at -6, who has started the year with some great golf. Rounding out the top 3 finishers was Ryan Fulton & Leigh Brannan, PGA, who ended at 4-under for the day.
This year’s event was supported by Jeff Morici with Bushnell, NexBelt, & Branded Bills & Craig Gibson of Callaway Golf. The winners received Bushnell rangefinders and a pair of OGIO luggage from Callaway. Closest to the hole prizes also included OGIO coolers and backpacks. We cannot thank Jeff and Craig enough for their generosity and for being on-site with our PGA Professionals. They have both supported the Section for many years, and we cherish their relationship with the GSPGA!
Canebrake Country Club was a great host once again for the GSPGA. The club has constantly supported the Section, and we need to thank Head Professional Colby Blake, General Manager Kenneth Young, Assistant Professional Ryan Fulton, and Superintendent Russ Simonton for their hospitality.
We look forward to seeing you at our next event, the Yamaha 3-Pro Championship at Whisper Lake Country Club in Jackson, Mississippi!

WEST POINT, MS – MARCH 30TH, 2026: Old Waverly & Mossy Oak Head Professional Eric Voss, PGA, defended his home turf with his team of three amateurs by his side. Monday’s Pro-Am saw the return to the daunting Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi. With newly renovated greens and the already challenging layout, void of any trees to protect from the elements, Mossy Oak proved to be a real test for the 116 PGA Professionals and Amateurs who play in the event.
Voss and his team started strong and kept the lead for most of the day, fending off runs from the teams of Brad Thornton, Head Coach of Mississippi Gulf Coast, Sam Jeffcoat, of Tupelo CC, and Bobby Flanagan, PGA of Baton Rouge CC. Despite the challengers, -22 would be enough to take the overall win for Team Voss. Christian Guiterrez, PGA, of Reunion G & CC, would be your Low PGA Professional, winning a scorecard playoff against previously mentioned Sam Jeffcoat of Tupelo CC; both Professionals shot 1-under 71 on a very tough golf course.
The Gulf States PGA would like to thank Old Waverly & Mossy Oak General Manager Jim Clay, PGA, who very generously opened his doors and welcomed a large group of PGA Professionals and their guest. The facilities at Mossy Oak are some of the best our Section has to offer. We cannot thank him, Eric Voss, PGA, and Owner Jerry Pate, PGA, for being such a tremendous host for our event.
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to tasc Performance. Dave Leville & Keelan McMillan have been great supporters of the Section. Based out of New Orleans, tasc is a hometown brand that truly cares about its community and the golfers within it. We appreciate their support and enjoy being able to partner with such a great local brand in the Gulf States PGA Section.
We look forward to seeing you at our next event, the GSPGA Stableford Four-Ball on April 20th at Canbrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi!
