It wasn’t your average Easter Sunday for three lucky kids from Kentucky. The Sunday before the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club kicks off the best week of the year with the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals. Our two male competitors, Max DeHaven from Hardinsburg, Kentucky and Austin Cox from Louisville, Kentucky competed in the Boys 12-13 and the Boys 7-9 Division, respectfully. Our female competitor, Perri Harris from Bowling Green, Kentucky competed in the Girls 10-11 Division. Harris was a returner to Augusta and the National Finals, after competing in the Girls 7-9 Division in 2025. In the Girls 10-11 Division, Perri ended up winning the Chip and Putt skills and tying for 1st Place overall in the Division! Perri proudly brought home two medals and a 2nd Place trophy, after a playoff for the overall spot.
Thank you to all three of our competitors for representing Kentucky so well on a national stage! We are so proud of the hardwork and dedication it took to get to Augusta, and wish you the best of luck as you continue your journey through the game of golf. Congratulations to Perri, Max, and Austin for advancing to and competing at the National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club!
Louisville, KY - On the perfect spring day, we kicked off our first Mentor Play Day of the year at Valhalla Golf Club on Monday, April 13th. We started the day with lunch and networking, to provide all of our attendees with the opportunity to enjoy the history housed at Valhalla and get to catch up with colleagues from all over the state. Before play, our Career Consultant, Jim West, PGA, helped set the tone for the day and shared how to foster these relationships to be beneficial for all parties involved. A huge shoutout to all of our Mentors and Mentees for taking the next step to further your careers on and off the course.
Thank you to the staff at Valhalla Golf Club and to Jim West, PGA for helping us make the day so successful. These Mentor Play Days provide vital opportunities for KPGA Professionals and Associates to cultivate and strengthen upon their lasting connections. We’re excited to watch this program continue to grow this year and beyond!
