U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Jim Furyk has selected Stewart Cink and Justin Leonard as two of his Vice Captains for the 47th Ryder Cup, to be played Sept. 13-19, 2027 at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland.
This marks Cink’s second stint as a Ryder Cup Vice Captain, while Leonard will serve for the first time. Additional Vice Captains will be announced at a later date.
“Adding Stewart and Justin to our leadership team is a crucial step as we prepare for Adare Manor in 2027,” says Furyk. “Both have played vital roles on past U.S. Ryder Cup Teams and will bring exceptional expertise and passion to our team room.”
The 52-year-old Cink played in five consecutive Ryder Cups (2002-10), helping the U.S. Team win in 2008 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky (pictured above, far left). He served as a Vice Captain in 2023 at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, Italy.
“I could not be more excited for the opportunity to join Jim’s team and represent the United States in the 2027 Ryder Cup,” says Cink.
The 53-year-old Leonard played in three Ryder Cups (1997, ’99, 2008), helping the Americans to victory in 1999 at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts (pictured right), and in 2008.

Statement on the passing of David Ogilvie III, 89, in Frankfort, Illinois on March 30, 2026:
“We are saddened to learn that 1986 PGA of America Golf Professional of the Year David Ogilvie III has passed away at age 89.
“A leader in the game and business in his home state of Illinois, David was a third-generation PGA of America Golf Professional who served as the Head PGA Golf Professional at Flossmoor Country Club from 1962–1998. A decorated PGA Member, David received the Illinois PGA Horton Smith Award (now the Professional Development Award) and was named Illinois PGA Professional of the Year three times. He served as Section President from 1985-86, was inducted into the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame in 1990 and the PGA of America Hall of Fame in 2005.
