- UMPC Walk for Children's Hospital

Pittsburgh, PA — The Tri-State Section PGA staff spent the morning at the 11th annual UPMC Walk for Children’s Hospital on Flagstaff Hill at Schenley Park.
Community outreach is a staple of our PGA REACH Foundation Tri-State initiatives, providing smiles, inflatable golf games and prizes for kids and families.
We thank our staff for giving their time and hearts to this life-changing event.

The Tri-State Section PGA held its annual Sponsor/Media Appreciation Day at South Hills Country Club. This annual event with our valued longtime partners and new partners features a day of golf, food, presentations and camaraderie.
We are extremely thankful for their support, commitment and collaboration, which are essential to our success as a section of the PGA of America. We also thank our host PGA professional Tony Traci and the entire staff at South Hills CC for providing a great day, track and opportunity.
- Ed Habjan Memorial Parent/Child Championship

Pittsburgh, PA - The TSPGA held its annual Parent-Child Championship, renamed the ED Habjan Memorial Parent-Child Championship in 2025 to honor Ed Habjan (1961-2024), a past Tri-State PGA President, PGA America District Director, and a dedicated PGA member for over 25 years.
We thank the family of Ed Habjan: his wife, Tracy and their children, Alex and Nicole, for being with us once again at the tournament and for providing Ed's PGA Staff bag to present on the first tee box just as Ed would be there watching all of the competitors tee it up. The Parent/Child Championship was near and dear to Ed, and junior golf held a special place in his heart.
A special thanks to TSPGA President Daniel Braun for his presence and leadership during the event, and to Ed's close friend, PGA Professional Mike Papson (Valley Brook CC/TSPGA Vice-President), who had the honor of playing alongside Ed's daughter, Nicole, for 18 wonderful and emotional holes of golf.
