Elizabeth Coleman and Ben Fauver earned victories at the 2026 Northern Ohio PGA Junior Section Championship at Glenmoor Country Club, securing berths into the PGA Junior Championship, July 28–31, at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.
Coleman, a Ball State University commit from Medina Highland High School, delivered one of the most dominant performances in championship history. She fired consecutive rounds of 67 to finish at 10-under-par 134, winning the Girls Division by 14 strokes.
Coleman recorded 13 birdies and only three bogeys over 36 holes without a double bogey. After taking a commanding lead in the opening round, she remained in control throughout the final day.
"I've been playing pretty well lately," Coleman said. "I had a couple tournaments where I played well but didn't quite finish where I wanted, and I think that motivated me this week."
Fairview Park's Calli Reed posted a final-round 71 to finish runner-up and also advance to the PGA Junior Championship.
The Boys Division produced a much tighter finish. Fauver, an Ohio State University commit from Hudson, opened with a 2-under 70 and carried a narrow lead into the final round before surviving a late challenge from Ethan White of Chagrin Falls.
After holding a three-shot advantage through 12 holes, Fauver saw consecutive double bogeys on Nos. 13 and 14 trim his lead to one. White tied the championship with a birdie on the 17th, and both players finished regulation at even-par 144.
Fauver secured the title on the second playoff hole after nearly chipping in for par, while White was unable to save bogey from a difficult lie.
"It was a long day," Fauver said. "It was a grind out there with the wind, but fortunately I hung on tough in the end and got it done."
Fauver said staying committed to every shot was the key throughout the championship.
"Anytime you have the lead, you have to stay focused and make good decisions," he said.
As the boys and girls champions, Fauver and Coleman will represent the Northern Ohio PGA Section at the PGA Junior Championship later this summer. White and Reed, as runners-up, also earned spots in the national championship field.
