Congratulations to PGA Professional Tom Johnson of The Meadow Club, who
captured the 2025 NCPGA Section Professional Championship at
Bayonet/Blackhorse in dramatic fashion. Johnson battled challenging course
conditions over 36 holes, carding rounds of 69-70 = 139, and then sealed the title
with a sudden-death playoff victory over Jason Owen of Cal State Monterey Bay
(65-74 = 139).
With the win, Johnson secures an exemption into the 2026 PGA Professional
Championship, to be played April 26–29 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in
Bandon, Oregon.
Congratulations and best of luck to Tom and the rest of the NCPGA Professionals
that qualified to represent the NCPGA on the national stage!
