Quintero Golf Club in Peoria just underwent a multi-million dollar course renovation project. The fully-overseeded course is reopening for play this month. Rees Jones, the course’s original architect, is overseeing the project. All 18 green complexes were rebuilt, all tee boxes were laser-leveled and resurfaced, and all 65 bunkers were renovated during the project, which started in June.… The Westin Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale is now the home of golf coaching company VISION54 that was founded by coaches Pia Nilsson and PGA of America Golf Professional Lynn Marriott.… Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale did some work, including upgraded tees, resurfaced greens, refurbished bunkers and more.

Indian Wells Golf Resort in Coachella Valley broke ground on an extensive renovation of its Players Course, with completion estimated in mid-November. Led by architect John Fought and his team, the renovation will see several holes rerouted. Currently a par 72, it will transform to a par 71 and will feature two new finishing holes. The par-3 No. 17 and par-4 No. 18 holes are currently the only two holes on the south side of the Whitewater Wash running through the property. The project will see both moved across the waterway to join the bulk of the course on the north side.… The Links at Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes recently completed bunker renovations on holes 7, 8 and 9, enhancing both playability and course aesthetics. Its team of PGA of America Golf Professionals has also expanded the calendar with additional Links Invitationals and increased group programming for up to 60 players. The resort also introduced “Links After Dark,” a unique nighttime golf experience featuring LED-illuminated play. The resort also completed a $4.5 million spa renovation, the lobby and all 50 ocean view casitas were refreshed, and the adult pool was made over with new cabanas and amenities.… At PGA West in La Quinta, a multi-million dollar transformation continues following the restoration of the Pete Dye-designed Stadium, Mountain and Dunes courses. Late last year, the resort unveiled Bunker Bar inside the reimagined Pete Dye Clubhouse, complete with two cutting-edge Trackman 4 simulators. This year welcomes a state-of-the-art Performance Lab that features simulator bays, a Zen Putting Stage, Trackman iO and custom fitting experiences.…. Braemar Country Club near Los Angeles is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation project, which is set to be fully completed by early 2026.… Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine is threatened to be closing so the property can be converted into housing.
Colorado
Bella Ridge Golf Course in Johnstown opened for limited preview play in September. Designed by Art Schaupeter on a former dairy farm, it can play from 3,200 to 7,268 yards and has 200 feet of elevation change. Wide, undulating fairways and green settings that reward creativity and precision are surrounded by scenic mountain views with Longs Peak towering in the distance.… Rodeo Dunes, a Dream Golf resort being led by Michael and Chris Keiser in Weld County, is moving toward a 2026 opening with two courses – one designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and the other by longtime Coore-Crenshaw associate Jimmy Craig. The property could eventually be home to six courses.

Cabot Citrus Farms in Brooksville officially opened Roost, a 7,200-yard course that’s peppered with moss-draped oaks, wild turkeys and multiple 50-foot elevation changes. The resort now has 57 holes of golf open for play, including the 18-hole Karoo layout, plus The Wedge par-3 course and The Squeeze 10-hole course. The resort is also offering activities like axe throwing, archery, bass fishing and skeet shooting.… Blue Cypress Golf Course in Jacksonville unveiled three new holes, expanding the nine-hole layout into a 12-holer coined The Dozen. Designed in partnership by Michael Beebe, the City of Jacksonville and Troon, the three new holes are designed to be played on their own or as an addition to the original Big Blue nine.… Calusa Country Club in Lakewood Ranch will unveil a new 12-hole golf course this winter. Designed by Gordon Lewis, it will take a unique spin on the standard executive course model, offering a mix of par 3, 4 and 5 holes while providing a quicker alternative to a full 18-hole round. It’s part of a master-planned golf community. The facility also opened its new 7,400-yard 18-hole course back in February. Amenities include a nearly one-acre practice putting course, adjacent snack bar, fire pit and seating area, aqua driving range, short game practice area and golf simulator in the clubhouse.… Saddlebrook Resort near Tampa is undergoing an expansive redevelopment, reestablishing the legacy property as a premier haven for leisure travelers, golf and tennis aficionados, plus group events. Rees Jones is spearheading a redesign of the golf grounds, transforming the two existing 18-hole Arnold Palmer layouts into a 27-hole experience. The three nines will be rotated in various combinations to create three distinct 18-hole challenges, each offering a unique playing experience. Renovation began in late 2024. State-of-the-art practice facilities now span 13 acres and include a double-sided driving range extending 360-plus yards, two putting greens and three short-game areas with greenside bunkers. All green complexes are being rebuilt to USGA specifications, while bunkers are being reshaped, repositioned and filled with new sand. Tee boxes are also being added, rebuilt and laser leveled. Saddlebrook is also renovating the hotel on property.
