Pinehurst Resort & Club’s No. 4 Course has reopened after a full greens restoration. The property is also moving forward with a Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed No. 11 Course at its Pinehurst Sandmines area, near Tom Doak’s No. 10 layout. Coore says No. 11 will be very different from No. 10 thanks to dramatically different topography, including quirky ridges and contours that are reminiscent of links courses in Ireland and Scotland. Pinehurst has also opened the Cottages at No. 8, a set of seven luxurious 4- and 8-bedroom cottages meant for stay-and-play golf trips. Visitors to Pinehurst will notice a new retail destination on the resort’s main campus. The Titleist Shop at Padgett Center is an immersive fitting and retail experience located in the space of the former Don Padgett Learning Center between the 18th green of the No. 2 Course and the Thistle Dhu putting course.
