Congratulations to the 8 SCPGA Associates who earned enough APA Player of the Year points in 2024 and 2025 to represent the Section at the bi-annual North/South Cup matches on September 29th-30th at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa. The team fought hard against the NCPGA and ultimately was able to bring the cup to SoCal by a score of 10 to 6!

California Teaching & Coaching Summit
Hosted at The Journey at Pechanga on October 6th-7th, 2025, the 9th California Teaching & Coaching Summit was two days of education with fellow PGA Professionals, instructors, and coaches. Thank you to host PGA Professionals Scott Mallory / Bill Crist / Randy Chang, the SCPGA Teaching & Coaching Committee, and partners Foresight Sports, Clippd, Golf Forever, OnForm, PXG, XView, XXIO, Imperial for a tremendous event!
A special congratulations to the 2025 California Teaching & Coaching Hall of Fame inductees, PGA Professionals Dave Phillips and Tom Rezendes, who were enshrined at the Summit.
Enagic San Diego County Open
David Bradshaw of Encinitas, CA, won the 2025 Enagic San Diego County Open after posting rounds of 71-68-65 for a three-day total -9, 204. He now adds his name to an impressive list of past champions that includes Sahith Theegala, Scott Piercy, Billy Casper, and Sam Snead.
