Christopher Tallman, from GREATHORSE, earned his third Connecticut Section PGA Professional Championship, tying him with Adam Rainaud for most in section history.
Tallman’s 6-under, 136 came despite increasingly windy conditions and a 2.5-hour rain delay prior to the final groups teeing off on the second day.
Joining Tallman at Bandon Dunes next April will be runner-up C.J. Konkowski of Hartford Golf Club who finished 2-under par, Jordan Gosler of Manchester Country Club and Jason Gobleck of the Golf Center at Lyman Orchards.
Just days before the Professional Championship, Tallman won his second Match Play title Springfield Country Club, defeating William Wallis of New Haven Country Club.
Tallman clinched his sixth Player of the Year honor.
The 4th Annual Birdies Fore Brighter Future fundraiser took place on October 16 and attracted 62 section professionals in what has become the largest Foundation fundraiser of the year.
Thirty one two-man scramble teams played 36-holes and solicited flat and pledge donations per birdie made. With donations still being accepted, the total raised has exceeded $145,000. Proceeds go to Connecticut Children’s and the Connecticut Section PGA Golf Foundation.
Special recognition goes out to section member and Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube on a record breaking $4million raised for charity at this year’s event. In addition, Newsweek announced that the Travelers Championship won the Fan's Choice Award for best PGA Tour event In 2025.
The section will conclude its event schedule with the Del Kinney Pro-Pro on October 21.
