The third The Insperity Tour Championship marked another incredible finish to the Srixon Prestige Tour season and serves as a reminder of what makes junior golf in Southern Texas so special. The 89-player field featured 37 Srixon Prestige Tour winners from the 2025-26 season and was the largest in Tour Championship history.
This year, our players had the opportunity to compete at the nationally-acclaimed Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, TX. As the club’s first-ever junior golf event, it was a memorable milestone in the Section and a testament to the high-caliber chances available through our Junior Golf Program. Thank you to the entire Boot Ranch team, including PGA Head Professional Alex Rhyne, for welcoming our players and their families and providing a first-class atmosphere.
Another deserved thank you goes to our partners at The Insperity, whose continued investment in junior golf has helped create an abundance of unique opportunities for our players. Their support, along with Srixon’s commitment to the Prestige Tour, helps us to develop the next generation of golfers with elevated experiences both on and off the course.
The week also included valuable learning opportunities off the course. Following the practice round, players heard from a panel featuring three college golf coaches from Texas who shared insights into the college golf experience and the recruiting process. Throughout the championship, numerous college coaches were also on-site to watch our players compete, giving juniors the chance to showcase their talent to people who could shape the next step in their golf journey.
Congratulations to our 2026 Champions, Elliot Cope and Ava Frazier, for their outstanding performances throughout the week. Their victories earned exemptions into three premier opportunities: the Greenwood Cup Junior Invitational at River Oaks Country Club, the Bayou Cup representing Southern Texas against the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour, and full exempt status on the Legends Junior Tour through August 2027.
Experiences like this reflect what the STPGA Junior Golf Program is all about: creating meaningful opportunities for junior golfers to compete, learn, and grow. As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue working alongside our partners to elevate our programs and provide even more chances to the next generation of players.
