PGA of America Golf Professional Jeff Kiddie of Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, captured the 2026 Philadelphia Senior PGA Professional Championship at Bellewood Country Club. Kiddie posted rounds of 70 and 68 to finish at 4-under-par 138 and earn a seven-stroke victory, securing the first individual Philadelphia PGA Section win of his career.
Kiddie entered the final round atop the leaderboard after opening the championship with a 1-under-par 70. Despite periods of rain throughout the day, he remained steady and was the only player in the field to finish under par.
With Aronimink hosting this year’s PGA Championship last month, Kiddie had not played much leading up to the championship.
“This was the first time I’ve been able to play in this championship, as it normally conflicts with our women’s Member-Member event at [Aronimink],” Kiddie said following his round. “To win this championship, with so many awesome names on that trophy, it really means a lot.
“I’ve played first rounds at new courses pretty well,” Kiddie continued. “I really liked the golf course, and it played very well. I was a little nervous to start. I didn’t sleep great, and didn’t have a great warm-up, but starting birdie-eagle settled me down a bit.”
Kiddie went on to thank his family, wife Tricia and his kids, Aronimink Golf Club and all of its members, which he referred to as the best club in the Section, the Section staff, Bellewood Country Club for hosting, and the event partners.
With this victory, Kiddie secured a playing spot in the pre-qualifier event for the new PGA Tour Champions event, the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic, later this year.
This championship also served as a qualifier for the 2026 Senior PGA Professional Championship at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, October 22-25. Seven Philadelphia PGA Professionals earned their spots in the national championship field, including Kiddie, Dave McNabb of Applebrook Golf Club, Hugo Mazzalupi of the Radnor Golf Foundation, Frank Bensel of Galloway National Golf Club, Dave Quinn of Laurel Creek Country Club, Chris Kreuger of Kings Creek Country Club, and Brendan Post, University of Delaware. John Pillar was exempt into the championship. Alternates include: Terry Hertzog, Bent Creek Country Club; Mark Sheftic, Sunnybrook Golf Club; Brian Kelly, Titleist Fit Crew; John Pillar, Country Club at Woodloch Springs; and John Cooper, Green Valley Country Club.
In the Super Senior Division, Wayne Phillips of Lehigh Country Club captured the title after posting a two-day total of 2-over-par 144. Phillips finished three strokes ahead of Harvey Williams of Glen Oak Country Club who earned runner up at 5-over-par. Bill Sautter of The Philadelphia Cricket Club and Rob Shuey tied for third place at 9-over-par, while Dan Barker rounded out the top 5 at 11-over-par.
