As part of the Annual Meeting, the NFPGA hosts a Pro-Pro in the afternoon. This year’s event was hosted at Evermore Resort – Grand Cypress on June 1st and included 58 two-person teams! Mike Colgate and Andrew Hammett, PGA teamed up to shoot a blistering 13-under 59 in the Scramble format. This included consecutive birdies on holes 12 – 18! The course was in terrific shape, and Evermore Resort is always an incredible host site.
A strong field of 60 players competed at the 2026 Stableford Championship at Reunion Resort – Watson Course, June 8th – 9th. This modified Stableford includes Triple Eagle or Better – 8 points, Double Eagle – 8 points, Eagle – 6 points, Birdie – 4 points, Par – 2 points, Bogey – 1 point, Double Bogey/Others – 0. Nicole Felce, PGA captured a four-point victory by posting a total of 97 points. In two days, she made 11 birdies and one eagle!
David Hronek, PGA outlasted the field at the 2026 NFPGA Senior Match Play! This event was hosted on the White and Red Course at Sugar Mill Country Club, June 22nd – 24th. Hronek played a total of five matches, in addition to the Seeding Qualifying Round. He needed one extra hole of golf during the Quarterfinals and Semi-Finals to get the victories and won the Finals match 3&2.
The 2026 NFPGA Pro-Scratch was hosted at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa on July 13th. The Four-Ball Stroke Play format created plenty of birdie opportunities for the 36 teams competing. On a day with mostly blue skies and a breeze coming off the marsh, the team of Tom Walters, PGA and Colton Swartz (a) totaled 11 birdies in 18 holes to card 11-under 61! Each birdie truly counted as they secured a one-stroke victory and took home the trophies.
July 22nd – 23rd marked the 2026 NFPGA Senior Stableford Championship. 33 players took on Evermore Resort – Grand Cypress in the modified Stableford format. In this format, players receive the following points: Triple Eagle or Better – 8 points, Double Eagle – 8 points, Eagle – 6 points, Birdie – 4 points, Par – 2 points, Bogey – 1 point, Double Bogey/Others – 0. Rod Perry, PGA carded four birdies in Round 1, three birdies in Round 2, and 27 pars overall to reach 84 points for the two days; he only made two bogeys during the tournament! His performance was good enough for a one-stroke victory.
