Kentucky’s very own Kelly Williams, PGA has earned the Master Professional Designation.
The PGA Master Professional program is to recognize PGA of America Members who make a significant effort to improve as Golf Professionals and maintain the highest degree of excellence for themselves and their facilities.
Kelly has served as the General Manager of Greenbrier Golf & Country Club in Lexington, KY since 2007, as he is now in his 30th year with the facility. Kelly has served within Kentucky Section Leadership, as well as on the National Board of Directors as District 10 Director. He also has been honored by his peers many times earning Section Awards, and also was recognized nationally being named PGA of America Golf Executive of the Year in 2024.
We could not think of anyone better to earn this distinction. Congratulations Kelly, thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the game of golf in Kentucky!

Golf House Kentucky and the Kentucky Golf Foundation welcomed a strong field of PGA TOUR players, Kentucky PGA professionals and local golf standouts for the ISCO Industries Youth on Course Pro-Amat Valhalla Golf Club, the organization's largest fundraiser of the year. Youth on Course is committed to opening doors and transforming lives through golf, giving young people access to the sport and the social, mental and physical skills it teaches. Nearly 9,000 Youth on Course members in Kentucky can play for $5 or less at 59 participating golf courses in the state, and nearly 2,000 courses nationwide, all in service of the organization's core purpose: providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf.
The field was also full of familiar names from Kentucky's golf community. PGA of America professionals Kyle Cramer, PGA, Grover Justice, PGA, a 2026 Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame inductee, Aaron Eldridge, PGA, Mitchell Moore, PGA, Tyler Oldham, PGA, John Bachman, PGA, Alastair Tidcombe, PGA, Andrew Lardner, PGA, Blake Hardesty, PGA, Adam Gary, PGA and Alex Harris, PGA all represented their home clubs and helped make the day a success. They were joined by additional professionals, including Owen Stamper, Austin Squires and Jack Sparrow, Billy Basham, PGA Associates Trevor Vietti and Trevor Thompson, and amateur Ben Kendrick, among many others who gave their time to support Youth on Course.
The event was a great success and it could not have happened without the support of ISCO Industries and Valhalla Golf Club. Thank you to all who participated and helped support our mission to grow the game across the Commonwealth!

Emma Lindemoen wins the 30th Kentucky Women’s Open!
Kentucky native Emma Lindemoen (a), a rising player at Amherst College, is the champion of the 30th Kentucky Women’s Open, closing with a 3-over-par 75 on Wednesday at Oldham County Country Club before outlasting Ali Schrock (a), of Illinois State University, and Kaylee Dwyer (a), of Western Kentucky University, in a three-way playoff to claim the title in the first 54-hole edition of the championship.
Congratulations to Emma, and thank you to all participants for playing. Thank you to the staff at Oldham County Country Club for helping make the week such a triumph and for helping us successfully implement the first 54-hole rendition of this event!
