Presented by Title Sponsor Caesars Entertainment
Honoring Scotty Cameron and Peyton Manning
The Langley, A Tribute to Legends is the NCPGA Foundation's premier fundraising event that treats guests to two days at Pebble Beach Resorts among legends in the world of golf, along with other sports superstars and business leaders. Named after Jim Langley, the beloved PGA Head Golf Professional at Cypress Point Club and a former U.S. Marine, the event is a charitable fundraiser for PGA HOPE Northern California and the Jim Langley Scholarship Fund. This invitational event is filled with many players and guests that knew Jim Langley first hand, and others who come to enjoy the exclusive experience at Pebble Beach that includes a cocktail reception, gala dinner, auctions, "fireside chat" with the Honorees, and a Pro-Am the following day. In its 17th year, the Langley Honorees were Scotty Cameron, the world's most iconic putter designer, and Peyton Manning, NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback leading both the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos.
Caesars Entertainment returned as the Title Sponsor of The Langley, bringing four teams to play in the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. Senior Vice President of Player Development, Chase Stigall, PGA, stated, "The Langley is one of Caesar’s Premiere Events each year. Our guest's can’t wait to get back to Pebble - great golf, food and camaraderie. Best of all it is for a great cause."
The Langley was also supported by Hanson Communications as the Cocktail Sponsor, Full Turn Custom Apparel as the Tee Gift Sponsor, and NBC Universal as the Foundation's Media Sponsor through their divisions KNTV and NBC Sports Bay Area. The Foundation also recognizes CIG Insurance as the Founding Partner of The Langley.
Other special guests included Peter Jacobsen, former PGA TOUR player and Langley Honoree, serving as the "M.C.", and Mrs. Lou Langley along with sons Brad, Brennon and Byran, and Mr. Don Rea, PGA of America President, who spoke about the success of PGA HOPE and the power it has to save lives of Veterans.
To date, PGA HOPE Northern California has served over 3,000 military veterans with instruction programs in operation at twenty-eight locations twice a year. The strength of PGA HOPE comes from the testimony of Veterans who have completed the program, and those that step up as volunteers at golf outings and in their communities spreading the word about PGA HOPE.
