Colin Salema (a), a sophomore at Clemson University, secured his first Carolinas Open title at Cedarwood Country Club with a composed final-round 67 (-4), finishing at 13-under-par (200). He sealed the championship with a clinical 67 (-4) in Thursday’s finale, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 4th. The six-shot margin of victory marked a major milestone in Salema’s amateur career. Nick Rencis, assistant professional at River Run Country Club, earned runner-up and Low-Professional honors with a 7-under-par total of 206, his pair of 67s in the opening and final rounds making him the top professional finisher.
