Junior Golf Academy

Riverside, Iowa – The Iowa PGA completed the 45th Annual Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy on June 8-12. John Bermel, Head PGA Professional at Pheasant Ridge GC and Head Coach of the Men and Women’s golf teams at UNI, has been the lead instructor for the academy for over 28 years. The Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy also utilizes the men and women PGA Professionals of the Iowa Section as instructors for the students.

The Iowa PGA marks the twelfth year of the National Drive, Chip and Putt program sponsored the Masters foundation, the USGA and The PGA of America. The Iowa Section along with all other 41 Sections participated. The Iowa PGA hosted 21 local qualifiers for the national program and 2 sub-regional sites.
