The Southern California PGA would like to congratulate PGA Members Jim Gormley of Palos Verdes Golf Club and Eric Eby of The Reserve Club who, at the Annual Meeting in December, were elected to serve as At-Large directors on the Southern California PGA Board. In addition, PGA Members Shea Satterfield of Beach Cities Golf Club, Colby Hartje of Avila Beach Golf Resort, and Heather King of Emerald Isle Golf Course were selected to serve as Chapter Representatives. These PGA Professionals will join their fellow board members, and President Curdt, to provide strategic leadership and governance for the Section.
Thank you to the following PGA Members, who during their tenure on the SCPGA Board of Directors, provided outstanding contributions and support of the Section; Nikki Prichard, Jackie Riegle, Justin Hight, Steve Donar and Grant Strobel.
The Pinehurst Championship, along with the Annual Meeting, visited South Hills Country Club for one of the final SCPGA events of the year. Congratulations to Gary Sowinski, PGA, and Chris Starkjohann, PGA who posted 27 points in the modified stableford format to claim victory over an impressive field of PGA Professionals.

Congratulations to the eight Southern California PGA Members who represented the Section proudly at the biennial California Cup matches on December 10-11, 2025, at Mayacama Golf Club. Over two days of matches, the SoCal team fought hard against the NCPGA and was able to bring the cup home by a score of 9.5 to 2.5.
