The Hualalai Resort and Keolu Golf Courses hosted the 2025 EZ-GO Facilities Championship. Forty six teams from various facilities around the State participated in a fun filled team event.
Nanea Golf Club’s team of Christopher Keiter and Jeffrey Ingman shot a total score of 13 under par, 131, to claim the first place prize of $2,400. Three teams were tied for second. Hualalai’s Brendan Moynahan/Jake Belveal, Brendan Moynahan/Ryan Coyle, and Kukio Golf Club’s team of Eric Dugas/Shaun Steile all finished at 132 totals.
The Aloha Section PGA would like to thank Jay Hinazumi for his continued sponsorship for this most successful tournament of the year. We would also like to thank Hualalai Resort’s Director of Golf’s Brendan Moynahan for hosting the championship.
The Annual Meeting of the Aloha Section PGA was conducted following the first round. Outgoing President, Ben Hongo introduced the newly elected Board members and announced the respective awards winners for 2025. Mahalo to President Hongo for his many years of service.
The 2025 Hawaii State Open was contested at the Kapolei Golf Club on Oahu. All participants enjoyed the tough venue under great weather.
Professional Peter Jung shot a six under total, 210 to claim the title. Top amateur honors went to Chris Salem with a 212 total. Other flight winners include:
Senior Professional- Paul Ito, PGA
Senior Amateur- Craig Larson
Women’s Open- Lani Luafalelealo
A Flight- Hiromichi Yokoyama
