The Alabama - NW Florida Section is proud to announce its 2025 Rolex Player of the Year Award Winners for their outstanding achievements throughout the year.
Jordan DeBonis is this year’s Alabama - NW Florida Rolex Member Player of the Year. This marks his second time receiving this distinction, having previously earned the award in 2023. He played in 11 POY points events, totalling 806.00 points. DeBonis also took home this year’s Stroke Play Series Championship. He won two of the six Stroke Play Series events he played in this year, going back-to-back in the third and fourth events.
This year’s Alabama - NW Florida Rolex Senior Player of the Year is Neil Thompson. He has also achieved this honor in 2020 and 2022. He played in nine Senior POY points events, totalling 1,157.50 points. He was the 2025 Gulf Coast Championship Senior Division winner and also represented the Section at the 2025 Senior PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club. He will join 34 other PGA of America Golf Professionals who earned a place on the Corebridge Financial Team for the 2026 Senior PGA Championship.
For the third time in four years, Christian Bosso is the Alabama - NW Florida Rolex Assistant Player of the Year. He played in 10 Assistant POY points events, totalling 873.58 points. He won the Section Match Play and the Alabama Championship and finished sixth in the 68th Alabama Open.
All three of the Player of the Year Award Winners will be honored at the Section Awards Dinner in February.
