Ryder Cup Europe and the PGA of America have announced that SAP, a global leader in enterprise applications and business AI, has signed a new agreement to become a Worldwide Partner to the Ryder Cup.
The partnership agreement will see SAP become a Worldwide Partner to both the 2025 matches at Bethpage Black in New York this September and the 2027 matches at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland.
“We’re proud to welcome SAP as a Worldwide Partner of the Ryder Cup, and appreciate their shared commitment to delivering an exceptional fan experience to the thousands of fans onsite and the countless more watching from home,” says Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer at the PGA of America.
SAP is Europe’s largest company and has a long track record in partnering with several of the world’s biggest sports teams, leagues and organizations to streamline their business processes.
This partnership will see the Ryder Cup benefit from using SAP technologies to further enhance the experience for fans. SAP Customer Data Platform will unify fan data from multiple sources, creating a single fan profile.
As a Worldwide Partner, SAP will also benefit from significant brand visibility at each match through on-course branding, global television advertising, and in the Ryder Cup Village through fan-focused experiences. SAP will also work with the Ryder Cup’s content team on bespoke campaigns for Ryder Cup social media channels.
A team of New Jersey PGA of America Professionals participated in a series of 100-hole golf marathons over Memorial Day Weekend to raise more $125,000 while paying tribute to fallen heroes and their families.
Brian Mackey (pictured), the PGA of America Director of Instruction at North Jersey Country Club, led “A Walk to Remember,” walking and playing 100-holes of golf at his home club, while PGA Professionals Mark DeLaura (Crestmont Country Club) and Nick Bova (Hamilton Farm Golf Club) also hosted 100-hole golf marathons at their facilities. In addition, Grant Sturgeon (Arcola Country Club), Bill Hook (Knickerbocker Country Club) and David Reasoner (The Ridgewood Country Club) supported the initiative by hosting fundraisers at their respective clubs.
Proceeds from the Memorial Day events will support PGA HOPE New Jersey, Folds of Honor, the recently established Golf Fore Veterans and Backpacks for Life.
“Memorial Day Weekend is a time to honor, remember and respect all of the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our way of life, both overseas and those that fell victim to the emotional wounds they brought home with them,” says Mackey.
“My colleagues and I walked and played 100 holes of golf to pay tribute to America’s heroes while holding all of the Gold Star families in our hearts on such a somber day.”
