- TSPGA Assistant/Associate Mentorship Day

The section held its annual Assistant/Associate Mentorship Day, hosted by Pete Micklewright, the Chairman of the TSPGA Mentorship Committee and Head Golf Professional at Edgewood CC.
This event was a unique opportunity to connect with TSPGA mentors through engaging roundtable discussions, gain invaluable insights from experienced professionals, and forge meaningful connections with peers in the industry.
Mentorship is a powerful tool that equips associates to navigate the PGA program and conquer the challenges of being a golf professional. The event is an excellent chance to elevate careers and unlock full potential.
The section thanks all mentors and attendees for a great day of leadership, golf education, and mentorship, and thanks Pete Micklewright, TSPGA Mentorship Committee Chairman, Edgewood Country Club Head Golf Professional, and the staff.
- TSPGA Annual Fall Meeting

The Tri-State Section PGA held its annual fall membership meeting at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows. The agenda for the meeting included a recap of the tournament golf season, discussions of new business, special presentations by Garrett Korte (PGA Career Services) and Kim Shafer (PGA Senior Player Engagement Consultant), and the presentation of plaques to the 2025 award winners. These winners included the TSPGA Special Awards, Players of the Year, Hall of Fame inductee Hill Herrick from the Greenbrier Resort, retiring rules official Larry Piroli, and outgoing board members Devin Gee, Mike Frisina, and Andrew Hefferenan.
Election results were also announced for three incoming board members: Chris McKnight, Rich Conwell, and Joe Klinchock, who Honorary President John Klinchock swore in. The section welcomes these men to the board. It looks forward to working together to continue strengthening and adding new ideas and initiatives to the Tri-State PGA section.
The section thanks all attendees, officers, the board, special PGA guests, and the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows Sales & Banquet staff.

Hill Herrick Inducted into the Tri-State PGA Hall of Fame Class of 2025
The Tri-State PGA is proud to announce the induction of Hill Herrick, PGA Director of Golf at The Greenbrier Resort, into the Tri-State PGA Hall of Fame.
For more than four decades, Hill has exemplified dedication and excellence in our profession. Beginning his journey at The Greenbrier Resort in 1984, he has risen through the ranks to serve as Director of Golf, earning some of the PGA’s highest honors along the way, including National Merchandiser of the Year and Tri-State PGA Professional of the Year.
A Michigan State alumnus, devoted mentor, and even a gifted French Horn player, Hill’s leadership, passion, and lifelong dedication to excellence, mentorship, and service embody everything the PGA stands for. We are honored to celebrate his remarkable career and contributions to the game and welcome Hill Herrick to our prestigious TSPGA Hall of Fame, which includes Arnold Palmer, Jim Ferree, Sam Snead, and Bob Ford, to name a few.
