Metropolitan PGA Holds Fall Meeting and Elects New District Director The Metropolitan PGA gathered at North Hills Country Club on Thursday, October 30th for its annual Fall Meeting, bringing together professionals from across the Section to reflect on the year, share ideas, and look ahead to future initiatives. The meeting featured leadership updates and opportunities for members to engage in open discussion, reinforcing the Section’s continued focus on communication, collaboration, and professional growth. A key moment of the day was the District Director election, an important process that takes place only once every six years. The Nominating Committee presented two esteemed candidates: Chris Kenney of The Patterson Club and Carl Alexander of Golf Club of Purchase. After addressing the membership and participating in Q&A, voting concluded with Chris Kenney being elected to represent District 2 which includes the Metropolitan, New Jersey, and Philadelphia Sections, on the PGA of America Board of Directors for the next three years. Kenney was also honored as this year’s Metropolitan Section Professional of the Year. Past Met PGA President and Honorary President (2022–2023), Chris has consistently led with integrity and passion, elevating every part of the golf experience at Patterson for the past 22 years. His leadership and commitment to his staff, members, and the Met Section have made a lasting and meaningful impact. The Fall Meeting once again underscored the strength of the Metropolitan PGA community and its dedication to advancing the profession through shared ideas and committed leadership.
