Lyon Lazare, PGA, and Connor Covington of Monarch Beach Golf Links claimed the 2025 Professional-Club Member Championship with a 13-under-par 58 at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The Professional-Club Member Championship features an SCPGA member and their amateur partner from the same facility playing in a Four-Ball format.
Lazare and Covington were in perfect sync throughout the day, delivering an exceptional bogey-free performance highlighted by one eagle and an incredible 11 birdies. Their outstanding teamwork and steady play kept the momentum rolling from start to finish, as they capitalized on every scoring opportunity. By the end of the round, the duo’s dominance on the course had earned them a five-shot lead over the nearest team.

Richie Valenzuela, PGA, and Mary Budke of Mission Hills Country Club claimed the 2025 Southern California PGA Professional-Lady Championship at Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta with a total of 39 points on the day.
Playing in a Stableford format, the field of 44 teams enjoyed a beautiful day in La Quinta for the 23rd playing of this Championship.
The Valenzuela/Budke team recorded a 3-point advantage over the field with 39 points, edging out Angela Buzminski, PGA, and Alegra Gurian of Woodland Hills Country Club, and Carter Silva and Debbie Kim, who both finished tied for second with 36 points.

Congratulations to the six Southern California PGA Members listed below for earning the 2025 Rolex Players of the Year honors. Each year, the Southern California PGA awards the highest points-getter in each division the title of Player of the Year across six divisions. The point total starts at the beginning of each season, and each PGA Professional accumulates points based on finish in each tournament they play in their respective divisions: Section, Women’s, Senior, Super Senior, and APA.
