The NENY PGA Education committee is excited to kick off our virtual education series for the 2026 season: Pro2Pro. Pro2Pro is a 1-hour education webinar series that covers modern ideologies and strategies in the golf business and covers a wide variety of topics. The series spans for 6 weeks in January and February and is complimentary to all professionals and associates from all sections. This year we are pleased to announce the topics for Pro2Pro:
Pro2Pro #1 - AGM's Quarterly Blueprint for Golf Shop Success (Association of Golf Merchandising): Help to equip golf retail professionals with strategies for maintaining an organized, efficient, and customer-focused operation. This session covers best practices in proactive inventory management, including SKU optimization and markdown processes to boost sales and reduce excess stock. Attendees will learn to enhance customer satisfaction through effective communication and service strategies, ensuring consistent, high-quality experiences in the shop. The seminar also highlights the importance of cross-department collaboration and offers tips for staff training, empowering employees to take ownership of key tasks and grow into leadership roles.
Pro2Pro #2 - Essential Skills for Today’s Golf Business Leader: Includes a practical overview of the essential business and leadership skills needed including budgeting fundamentals, financial control & oversight, decision-making, strategies to align departments and leading teams in today’s evolving golf business environment.
Pro2Pro #3 - Golf’s Impact in New York: What the Data Tells Us: Golf is more than a game — it’s an economic, environmental, and community asset. Take advantage of the report and take opportunities to communicate value to your owners & board, facility managers and owners, current and potential members, support capital improvement requests, justify staffing and programming investments along with instruction needs.

Pro2Pro #6 - PGA Member Benefits & Programs: Brian Bain, PGA Regional Player Engagement Manager will lead a discussion on PGA Coach offerings, PGA Jr. League and changes to the program and PGA Deferred Compensation and more.
The Northeastern New York PGA REACH Foundation has opened up registration for PGA HOPE programs in 2026.
PGA HOPE serves as the military pillar of PGA REACH, and a rehabilitative program designed to introduce golf to veterans with disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. A big thank you to our 10 facilities that are hosting a PGA program this year!
