Fuller Runyan and Bill Cologie were both elected to three-year terms on CAGA’s Board of Directors at the Board’s April 2026 meeting.
Runyan, now retired, spent 35 years working for the State Department of General Services and finished his career as Operations Manager of the DGS Annex Complex, which includes the former Harrisburg State Hospital Grounds. In that capacity, he oversaw the portion of the Greenbelt that passes through the hospital grounds and has worked with CAGA’s leaders for many years. He’s also been a user of the Greenbelt for more than three decades and is excited to contribute to the Greenbelt’s future. He has also been active for many years with the Historic Harrisburg Association.
Cologie, who recently volunteered to edit CAGA’s quarterly newsletter, has been involved with what became the Greenbelt since 1975 and has been a CAGA volunteer since he resumed bicycling during the Covid pandemic. He served on the Board of the Dauphin County Library System for 13 years, is the founder and a Board member of the Pennsylvania Press Club since its founding in 1996, and spent more than three decades on the board of Three Mile Island Alert. Professionally he served as President of the Pennsylvania Cable Television Association and operated the newsstand at the Harrisburg Transportation Center for 31 years. He lives in south Harrisburg with his wife of 50 years, Martha.
Michael Shaull, who chairs the Board’s Governance Committee and is responsible for recruiting new Board Members, introduced and recommended both men to the Board. “CAGA has been blessed with high quality Board members since the organization’s inception and I’m certain both of these gentlemen will contribute to the Association’s success in the years ahead.”
