Since the 2012 Tour de Belt (TdB), the great folks from Karns Grocery Stores, have been supplying food for three rest areas along the TdB route. This year marks the 14th year when a truck full of bananas, peanut butter crackers, granola bars, fig bars, pretzels, and oranges have been supplied to keep up the energy levels of TdB participants.

CAGA Vice President Diane Kripas reports the Karns folks have been wonderful to work with and she hopes TdB riders reciprocate by doing their grocery shopping at any of the Karns 10 locations throughout the midstate. CAGA is just one of 850 local non-profits that benefit from the company’s community orientation.
According to Andrea Karns, CEO of Karns Quality Foods, “For years, Karns Foods has proudly supported the Capital Area Greenbelt, helping preserve a space that brings our community together and promotes healthy, active living. Our commitment to the Greenbelt reflects our ongoing focus on investing in the neighborhoods we serve and supporting initiatives that make our community stronger.”
