Winter is here, but that’s a good thing as it means playing opportunities in the Sunshine State!
The 2024 PGA Tournament Series is currently underway at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida, but PGA of America Members and Associates should make plans for another slate of annual tournaments that’ll begin in January: the PGA Winter Championships presented by GolfPass and On Location.
The tournament schedule follows, and participants can call (800) 474-2776 or visit PGA.org to register. PGA Golf Club’s Dye, Ryder and Wanamaker courses will again host the championships, which run through mid-February.
Like the PGA Tournament Series, which wraps later this month, the results of this year’s PGA Winter Championships will be published in upcoming issues of PGA Magazine.

The 2024 PGA University Championship was conducted last month at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina, with the winning university being awarded the Jones Cup.
Results are available on PGAmagazine.com and will appear in PGA Magazine’s January 2025 issue.
The Jones Cup is named after the first PGA Golf Management University Program Director at Mississippi State, Dr. S. Roland Jones, who held the position from 1985 until his passing in 1997.
PGA Magazine would like to congratulate all PGA off America Golf Professionals who were honored with a PGA Section Award this past year.
These awards symbolize excellence in a wide variety of disciplines within the business of golf, as well as the outstanding, vital work being done by PGA of America Members across the country.
The listing of the latest Section Award winners — which include 11 categories from PGA of America Golf Professional of the Year to the Patriot Award and Merchandisers of the Year — will appear on PGAmagazine.com in early 2025.
