The 2025 CDGA Social Competitions slate concluded this fall with numerous championships being conducted from September to early October, following qualifiers that were contested in the spring and summer. Those crowned champions in the finals were awarded Stay & Play trips to the likes of Tullymore Golf Resort, Sand Valley Golf Resort and French Lick Resort, along with prizes from the CDGA, Callaway, St. Andrews Products, Tour Edge, Zero Friction and a plethora of member clubs throughout the district.
Harborside International Golf Center hosted the finale of the CDGA KemperSports Two-Person Scramble Championship in early September, welcoming 104 teams across four flights to Harborside’s Port and Starboard courses. The duo of Jimmy and Michael Slovitt were tabbed overall gross champions with a score of 11-under 61.
Conducted over the span of two consecutive days, Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton served as host of the CDGA Tour Edge Trifecta Series Championship for the fourth season. The women’s division finale was completed on Sept. 17, while the Seniors and Super Seniors traversed the course the following day. Kristie Pultorak and Patty Head (pictured) earned top net honors in the women’s field while Tom Hutchison and Norman Zerfas claimed the title in the Senior division. Jeffrey Messacar and Jeff Hart secured low net honors as Super Seniors.
Thirty-six squads of four traveled to Elgin’s Bowes Creek Country Club for the season-ending event of the CDGA Four-Person Scramble Championship. A flighted event featuring teams that qualified during the summer, the quartet of Ryan Bohac, Zachary Fisher, Chris Browning and Justin Ernst (pictured) won overall gross honors via a playoff tiebreaker with a score of 14-under 57.
The 13th edition of the CDGA Super Senior Championship was contested at Oak Brook Golf Club on Sept. 22. Featuring 78 golfers age 65 and older, low gross and net honors were up for grabs across five flights. Andy Nathan (pictured) carded a score of 2-under 70 to capture the title of overall gross champion.
La Grange Country Club hosted 48 teams of two for the 54th CDGA Mixed Championship presented by Zero Friction in late September. The duo of Roger Steele and Marissa Campeau (pictured) earned the Overall Gross title with a combined Stableford score of 71 points, defeating six-time champions Douglas and Lauren Meyer. The Overall Net title was claimed by Nicholas Huisinga and Bernice Sitompul with 74 net points.
