Whether as an on-course companion, a substitute on a rainy day or a Saturday-morning-errand accompaniment, the “CDGA Golf Show” presented by Glenview Park Golf Club continued to serve as a weekend staple for golfers in the Chicago District throughout 2025.
Returning in its 9-11 a.m. timeslot on ESPN 1000 and the ESPN Chicago YouTube channel, the show debuted with offseason musings on Feb. 22 and ran through fervent Ryder Cup analysis on Sept. 27. Hosts Mike Gilligan from the CDGA and Tyler Aki from ESPN 1000 facilitated conversation on a variety of golf topics, including the professional ranks, the local golf industry, their own games and more. Gilligan and Aki also took to the road on numerous instances, traveling together to French Lick Resort, raising money for the CDGA Foundation in the Better Through Birdies Par-3 Challenge and broadcasting on-site from the likes of the Chicago Golf Show®, Tullymore Golf Resort, Bettinardi Studio B, Bowes Creek Country Club, the Chicago Adaptive Open, the NV5 Invitational and more.
Insightful interviews also continued to be a staple of the weekly program. Regular appearances by two-time U.S. Open champion Andy North were complemented by one-off visits from a variety of golf journalists, past British Open winner Todd Hamilton, World Golf Hall of Famer Dennis Walters, Ian Baker Finch, Sam Bettinardi, the Presidents Cup’s Joie Chitwood and more.
