Much like the PGA Tour, the Korn Ferry Tour (KFT) season culminates with the annual Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. In 2024, French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana first hosted the KFT Championship, with an agreement in place for The Pete Dye Course to welcome the event until at least 2028. This year’s iteration is slated for Oct. 9-12.
With a system in place similar to the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs, the build-up to the KFT Championship features three events with reduced fields each week, building up to a 75-player field at French Lick. At the conclusion of the Championship, 20 PGA Tour Cards will be awarded based on season-long standings. One could argue the drama at the KFT Championship is ramped up even more than the Tour Championship, as life-changing playing opportunities open up in golf’s highest level.
French Lick Resort has long been a CDGA corporate partner, often collaborating on annual Member Trips, with accommodations at the historic French Lick Springs and West Baden Hotels. Earlier this spring, a group of CDGA members embarked on southern Indiana for rounds on both The Pete Dye and Donald Ross Courses. The resort’s golf offerings have also recently expanded, with this year’s addition of the Sand Creek nine-hole short course. A popular Midwest golf destination, there’s been no better place to visit with family and friends, golfers and non-golfers alike.
