The 2025 Chicago Golf Show® marked the annual return of one of the biggest attractions at the three-day event - the CDGA Longest Putt Benefiting the CDGA Foundation and The Evans at Canal Shores. As golfers across the Chicago District filed into the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, cheers, roars and goal horns led the attendees straight to the center of attention.
Located inside CDGA Town Square, the CDGA Longest Putt featured two separate 80-foot putts for visitors to attempt with a section of bleachers situated just past the flagsticks for fans to watch. A CTA-style train looped around the two golf holes continuously, with a variety of Chicago District-themed landmarks placed by the tracks. Those who attended the golf show noticed lines spanning the length of the exhibit hall floors for those waiting to test their luck at the putt, which included ESPN 1000 personality Peggy Kusinski (pictured below).
The 2025 version of the Longest Putt was yet again a success, with 101 putts being made successfully by Chicago Golf Show attendees. Ages of those who sank the putt ranged from 5 to 84, while a mother-son duo (pictured at top of page) also made it back-to-back. Each contestant who made the putt earned a Tour Edge Template putter, a Zero Friction Backpack Bundle, a polo from Chippopotamus, a CDGA-branded hat from Imperial, a CDGA-branded towel from Wincraft, two Jersey Mike’s Sub Sandwiches and an exemption into the World’s Longest Putt (WLP) Regionals at Midwest Golf House.
Of the 101 people who drained the putt, six lucky winners were randomly drawn from a raffle and received a grand prize such as a Tullymore Resort Stay & Play Package, a set of Tour Edge Hot Launch Irons & Woods with a fitting and a golf bag and much more. In all, more than $12,000 in fundraising was generated for the CDGA Foundation, the CDGA Sunshine Programs and The Evans at Canal Shores throughout the three days at the Chicago Golf Show.
