The Chicago Golf Show® annually marks the “unofficial” start to the golf season in the Chicago District. Also, the arrival of spring and the major golf season is highlighted by the return of CDGA Fantasy Golf presented by Tour Edge. This popular and free members-only contest is back for the 2025 season and will again feature seven events for CDGA members to compete against one another. The slate kicked off with The Players Championship in mid-March and will feature the four men’s majors, as well as the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally and AIG Women’s British Open. The Majors Challenge engine will again power the year-long series, as contestants can follow along with the action in real time and customize their leaderboards for bragging rights with friends and family.
CDGA members will select their team of 12 from four predetermined player pools prior to each event, with only the top 10 scores counting when determining prize winners and point earners. Various prizes will be up for grabs at each tournament’s end from the likes of Tour Edge, Zero Friction and various local rounds of golf. Additionally, the season-long CDGA Cup returns, with the grand prize winner earning a full set of Tour Edge Hot Launch 525 irons and woods, along with a fitting and golf bag.
The Association is constantly looking for ways to modify and upgrade member benefits, and new for the 2025 CDGA Fantasy Golf calendar is the “Top the Teams” aspect. Each event will have highlighted “Teams,” picked by the CDGA, its various corporate partners (ie. Tour Edge) and “CDGA Golf Show” presented by Glenview Park Golf Club hosts Tyler Aki and Mike Gilligan. Dubbed “TEAM ESPN 1000,” Aki and Gilligan will make their picks during the Saturday show before each event. CDGA members who finish ahead of one or multiple of these Teams will be entered into raffles to win various prizes, providing even more opportunities to win big this year.
