The buzz around golf is building in the Chicago District, as evidenced by the mass of golf enthusiasts who flooded the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center during the 2025 Chicago Golf Show® presented by the Chicago District Golf Association, Feb. 28-March 2. Fans were seen perusing through booths from nearly 150 exhibitors, featuring golf destinations, equipment manufacturers, clothing brands and more, as the event again marked the “unofficial” start to the golf season. In total, ticket sales for the 2025 show were up 8% from last year and exhibitor space sales increased by 15%.
Just inside the Show’s doors, CDGA Town Square took center stage during the weekend with numerous member-engagement sections. ESPN 1000 expanded its live, in-person airings, with two live broadcasts Saturday morning (CLICK HERE for more info). A number of video interviews also took place at the CDGATV booth located within Town Square. Featured guests included Tour Edge President Tim Clarke, famed golf instructor Hank Haney and 2024 Illinois Open champion Charlie Nikitas. The in-person CDGA Member Golf Shop ran more than 750 transactions, as it housed a plethora of Chicago Golf Show®-exclusive items. Brands such as Imperial, Cutter & Buck, Callaway, PRG, Yeti and more made up this year’s shop. Membership verification and renewal giveaways were a hit as always, as CDGA members received free Zero Friction SuperTubes and custom CDGA bag tags.
The Longest Putt Benefiting the CDGA Foundation and The Evans at Canal Shores raised more than $12,000 over the three-day event, with 101 80-foot putts made, up from 74 a year ago (CLICK HERE for more info). Next door, CDGA Foundation Park housed a bevy of information regarding the CDGA Foundation and its Sunshine Programs, as well as partner initiatives with the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) and United States Adaptive Golf Alliance (USAGA).
The CDGA thanks all who interacted with the CDGA booth, CDGA staff and showed interest in various CDGA programs. Did you miss any of the action, or want to relive some of the highlights?
