Erin Clement returns to Alamo Elementary as their new principal! She served in the district for thirteen years as a teacher at Victoria Walker Elementary and Sterling High School. In addition, she was a student support administrator at Alamo Elementary and Horace Mann Junior before transitioning to assistant principal at Horace Mann. Mrs. Clement completed her second year as principal at Ashbel Smith in 2023-2024. Mrs. Clement is excited to return to Alamo Elementary, where she began her administrative career.

Lacee Gordon has been in Goose Creek CISD for the last 11 years as a teacher, campus instructional specialist, and assistant principal. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Lamar University. Ms. Gordon is excited to continue to inspire, empower, and influence our youth, as well as the opportunity to positively impact the families, staff, and communities in support of our students.

Damon McLemore has been working in the field of education since 1999 and is thrilled to continue his journey in education at Goose Creek CISD. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and completed his Master’s degree from Prairie View A&M. Mr. McLemore was a 3rd-grade classroom teacher for 15 years, after which he moved into the role of intervention specialist. Most recently, he served as an assistant principal at E.F. Green Junior School. Mr. McLemore is a devoted family man who is married to Alexia McLemore and is the father of four daughters.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the principal of James Bowie Elementary. I am eager to work collaboratively with parents, the community, and all stakeholders to cultivate a strong partnership that leads to high student achievement.”
Dr. Roger Cardona is in his 7th year of secondary administration. He is coming to Goose Creek CISD from with experience as a former assistant principal and science teacher in Alvin ISD, Houston ISD, and Beaumont ISD. He received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, master’s degree from Lamar University, and Doctorate of Education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Superintendent specialization. Dr. Cardona is an active learner who enjoys data tracking, supporting accountability processes, and engaging with stakeholders to meet the needs of learners. He is excited to join Bear Country and continue to highlight the outstanding history and success of the community.

Lindsey Singla has been in education for 14 years and has a very diverse background with a focus in special education. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College and Master’s degree from Western Illinois University. In 2019 her family relocated to Texas. Ms. Singla has spent the last 2 years as an Assistant Principal at Clark Elementary.

Paige Burt has been an integral part of Goose Creek CISD, serving as an assistant principal for the past two years. Mrs. Burt brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new role. She began her career in education 11 years ago and has earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake and her Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Her passion for education and commitment to student success make her the perfect fit to lead the school.
