The Class of 2025 PGA of America national award recipients have much in common. Each has a passion for playing, teaching and managing the business of golf, while distinguishing themselves as proven leaders dedicated to service at the local, Section and national levels.
The 2025 honor roll is anchored by PGA of America Golf Professional of the Year Scott Paris, Director of Golf at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, New Jersey. Jason Baile, Director of Instruction at Jupiter Hills Club in Tequesta, Florida, is the 2025 PGA of America Teacher & Coach of the Year.
Paris and Baile are joined in the 2025 national awards spotlight by PGA of America Golf Executive of the Year Tony LaFrenere of Schaumburg (Illinois) Golf Club; PGA of America Youth Player Development Award recipient Mike Suhre of Oak Brook Golf Club in Edwardsville, Illinois; PGA of America Professional Development Award winner Michael Jacobs of Rock Hill Golf & Country Club in Manorville, New York; and Bill Strausbaugh Award honoree Jason Epstein of Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.
Pam Elders of Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida, has captured the PGA of America Player Development Award; Adam Relan of Bide- A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth, Virginia, is the Patriot Award winner; while the late Kammy Maxfeldt, formerly of Birchwood Country Club in Westport, Connecticut, is the Deacon Palmer Award recipient. The Northern Texas PGA Section is the winner of the Herb Graffis Award for player development and growing the game.
All national PGA of America award recipients were introduced at last month’s PGA Show in Orlando. They will be honored and receive their respective awards at the 2025 PGA Annual Meeting in Frisco, Texas, in early November.
