The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) and PGA Golf Exhibitions have announced the continuation of their strategic alliance, which co-locates the annual Golf Business Conference with the PGA Show in Orlando through 2030.
The three-day Golf Business Conference, hosted by the NGCOA for over 35 years, is the industry’s largest meeting of golf course owners and operators. Golf Business Conference attendees can earn continuing education credits from the PGA of America, Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), Club Management Association of America (CMAA) and Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
“We are excited to continue our collaboration with PGA Golf Exhibitions to bring the Golf Business Conference to the PGA Show,” says Jay Karen, the NGCOA’s Chief Executive Officer.
In the six years since the partnership was initially established, the NGCOA, the PGA of America and PGA Golf Exhibitions have worked together to elevate experiences for attendees of both shows.
“On the heels of a record-breaking PGA Show that united the global golf industry, we’re thrilled to continue our successful collaboration with the NGCOA on Show Week programming and events, anchored by the Golf Business Conference,” says Marc Simon, Vice President of PGA Golf Exhibitions.
Adds PGA of America President Don Rea Jr., “The convergence of the PGA Show and the Golf Business Conference offers our PGA of America Golf Professionals and golf course owners and operators valuable opportunities to engage at the onset of a new golf season.”
Last month, the Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA of America commemorated the 100th anniversary of the organization’s establishment on March 2, 1925.
As part of the commemoration, Virginia Gov. Glenn Younkin (pictured) recognized March 2, 2025 as the “Centennial of the Middle Atlantic Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” through an official proclamation that encouraged all Virginians to join in celebrating the milestone and honoring the Middle Atlantic Section for its enduring contributions to the game of golf and to our communities.
“For the past 100 years, the Middle Atlantic PGA and its dedicated PGA of America Golf Professionals have fostered the growth and enjoyment in the game of golf throughout the region, while managing the business operations at hundreds of facilities that serve golfers every day,” said Lynne Hunter, PGA (pictured), President of the Middle Atlantic Section based in Stafford, Virginia. “As we commemorate our 100th anniversary, we are proud and excited to showcase the greatness of PGA of America Golf Professionals.”
Added Jon Guhl, Middle Atlantic PGA Executive Director, “Our goal with the MAPGA Centennial is to create a year-long commemoration that tells a story of the people and programs that have defined the game and business of golf for 100 years in the Middle Atlantic Region. Today (March 2) is a special day for our MAPGA Professionals, past and present.”
