Following a successful first year on the Majors Challenge engine, CDGA Fantasy Golf presented by Tour Edge will feature seven events in 2024, the most in the history of the popular, member-exclusive contest. Joining the typical schedule, which consists of The Players Championship and the year’s four majors, are the U.S. Women’s Open and AIG Women’s British Open, bringing the women’s golf landscape into the fold. The additional events allow for members to compete more frequently throughout the season, as each month from March through August will feature at least one contest.
The move to Majors Challenge a year ago was met with rave reviews, as contestants were able to follow the action in real time for the first time on the platform’s live, customizable leaderboard. Teams of 12 from four predetermined player pools were selected prior to each event, and participants competed for prizes upon tournament’s end, as well as for the season-long CDGA Cup. CDGA member Ken Matuszak captured the grand prize by earning points in each of the five contests, including a season-best 17th-place finish in the PGA Championship. Matuszak earned a full set of Tour Edge Hot Launch C523 clubs, along with a golf bag and fitting.
While much of the 2024 CDGA Fantasy Golf presented by Tour Edge season is set to mirror that of a year ago, there is one change participants should prepare for ahead of the upcoming race for the CDGA Cup. While still required to select a full 12-player team, only the top 10 scores will count when determining prize winners and point earners.
